Jim and Jayne Taylor
onboard yacht Andiamo met in Naples, Italy, where he served as a U.S. Naval officer and Jayne was the visiting daughter of a British Army officer. Since marrying they have wanted to combine sailing and cultural discovery, including gourmet food,
yacht charter onboard andiamo, and yacht "Andiamo", which is Italian for "Let's Go", is the answer to that dream.
For Jim, who is a U.S. Coast guard licensed captain with over 30 years' cruising and sailboat racing experience, that means leaving the practice of international law, with clients in Asia and Europe, to charter in the Caribbean. He is an avid fly fisherman and has equipped yacht Andiamo with the latest fly tackle and gear for deep sea fishing and casting. Jim's long-time interests also include, in addition to travel, food and wine , scuba diving, astronomy, jogging and hiking.
Jayne owned and operated a highly successful catering business in Washington, D.C., where the Taylors lived for 20 years, serving prominent political figures and diplomats. She was recently featured in several Washington Post articles, and in Washingtonian Magazine, as one of the capital's premier caterers. Jayne specializes in international cuisine, an interest she acquired while living in Singapore, Tripoli, and of course Italy.
Yacht Andiamo, While living in Paris with Jim she co-authored a bilingual cookbook with a Michelin-starred French chef, and she taught cooking classes at L'Ecole de Cuisine d"Hubert in Paris and on St. Barths. Jayne's passion for food and entertaining, does not prevent her active participation in travel, sailing, fishing, and scuba diving.
Jayne and Jim are fluent in French, conversant in Italian, and they speak some German. In any language, the Taylors are a good team and yacht Andiamo the perfect combination of fun, cultural adventure, and fine dining.
